Its his life
With lots of class and surprises including covers of Bon Jovi and Van Halen tunes veteranperformer Paul Anka made everyone feel better
Having opened his show at the Royal Jubilee Hall last week by appearing out of nowhere in the middle of the audience, Paul Anka never stopped delivering surprises.
The Canadian crooner launched a 30song set with a medley of My Way for which he wrote the stirring lyrics his 50s classic Diana and You Are My Destiny, shaking hands with fans all the way to the stage.
The crowd got to know him a whole lot better when he sang Times of Your Life, with family snapshots beamฌing from the big screens, and (Youre) Having My Baby and Tonight My Love Tonight.
Anka then paused in the proceedings to introduce his wife, with whom he had his first son four years ago.
Showing all the class and skill of his many decades as an entertainer, he interacted wonderfully with the audiฌence while singing Puppy Love, and he recruited Setha Sirachaya one of the Impossibles from the crowd to help sing Lonely Boy.
More surprises were in store: Anka not only played piano as well, he pulled out a guitar too! And then, in fabuฌlous swing style, he delivered a pair of rockers Bon Jovis Its My Life and Van Halens Jump.
