It could also be one way to win over your enemies by being friendly
Let your coworkers and especially your boss/ manager/ supervisor see you as much as possible e.g. attending meeting, going to company parties/ activities, coming to work early or staying late in the office etc. so they can see you are hard working.
Ask questions and socialize with everybody at work. At meetings, participate and ask questions so that you can make a good impression on your supervisor or whoever might evaluate you when it comes to performance evaluations e.g. at the end of the year.
Always try to make yourself busy by doing something that is productive or work-related. If you finish your job, then offer to help your boss or your co-workers on work, projects, assignments, work over-time etc.
Try to show everyone that you are valuable and very important to the company/ organization. Do whatever you can to get the company and people to see you as being someone we must have in the company.
Be friendly and polite to everyone especially those people who might hate or find very annoying. By being friendly with everyone, people will then see or notice that you are personable, tolerant and can get along with all types of people especially those people who might hate you or who purposely give you a hard time to test your mental strength and patience. It could also be one way to win over your enemies by being friendly.
Be Flexible & Open to Change
Being flexible and open to change shows your boss and colleagues that you are not afraid of change or the unknown and that you willing to learn and adapt to change in the office or company in general. It could also mean that you are a risk taker and will try new things e.g. a new marketing strategy or way of managing etc.
